‘My Credit Monitor’ Service

With recent media reports of related identity theft & fraud cases on the rise, more Singaporeans are increasingly concerned about identity theft issues. In order to help consumers fight against this dreadful crime, CBS is offering a credit monitoring service called ‘My Credit Monitor’ as a form of preventive measure to consumers.

You can prevent yourself from being a victim of identity theft by signing up for CBS service called ‘My Credit Monitor’ It aims to protect & warn consumers of potential likelihood of theft & fraud scenarios of occurring. Thus, the main value proposition is to safeguard consumers from erroneous & fraudulent activities on a daily basis.

‘My Credit Monitor’ is a type of service that alerts consumers whenever Banks notify CBS about missed payments on loans & other credit related queries or when an application for credit is made in the consumers’ name.

Upon initial sign-up of this service, consumers will receive a complimentary copy of a credit report. Consumers will be notified of the following updates when they subscribe to ‘My Credit Monitor’. Examples of notification alerts are as follows: Enquiries made on your credit report by any CBS member in response to your application for new credit facility. Able to detect deteriorating account status assigned to any of your credit facilities. Lastly, the ability to display adverse information uploaded to your credit file. You can request to receive the notification alerts via email or post. Cost of this 12 month service is $35 & $40 plus prevailing GST for email & portal alerts respectively.
